Lift a Cube Upgrades Ranked
Permanent vendors beat RNG chests. Spend here first.
Every section of the Lift a Cube map sells at least one permanent upgrade aimed at training speed or movement speed. Sportskeeda’s beginner guide is explicit: buy them with Cash, they stay on the character, and they are worth reserving money for. This list ranks those jobs. It does not invent SKU names Freaky Strong! has not posted. If a vendor label in your client differs, match it by effect — faster push-ups versus faster walking — not by color.
Pair this page with Getting Started on day one and with the endgame cleanup when you are hunting leftover vendors on the way to 1.3 billion Strength. Cube rankings are next door on the cubes tier list. Arm rolls are on the arm materials tier list. Do not compare a guaranteed vendor to a chest in the same sentence.
Ranking rules
- Training-speed upgrades outrank everything once Train is your engine. They multiply every remaining hour of the account.
- Movement-speed upgrades outrank chest rolls once you start walking between cubes. They do not help if you still fail the first lift.
- Guaranteed permanent > RNG. A vendor you can see is S-tier relative to a roll you might brick.
- Cash spent on a vendor cannot be rolled. That is the point. Leave a chest budget, do not skip the vendor to feed the chest.
- No rebirth tax. Buying a training upgrade is never “wasted before prestige.” There is no prestige.
S — Training speed (every section that sells it)
If the stall sells faster push-ups, buy it as soon as you can finish a cube in that section. Default gain is one Strength per rep. Training speed is how that one becomes two, then ten, then a number that makes the strength calculator look less like a joke. Endgame advice from Sportskeeda is to own nearly every purchasable map upgrade before the last cube. Training speed is the half of that sentence that actually shortens the 1.3 billion grind.
Buy these even if the next cube is still a wall. Standing still to Train is the intended activity. A faster tick while you stand is the whole game.
A — Movement speed (once lifts are legal)
Walk speed matters when you are routing: spawn to cube, cube to vendor, vendor to chest, chest to the next heavier mesh. It does not matter if you cannot finish a lift yet. After the first legal cube, one movement upgrade in the section you actually occupy is A-tier. Buying three walk upgrades while your arms are still default is a misread of the arms hub.
Late map, walk speed is how you skip a mid-cube you have overtrained past. The walkthrough tells you to walk by weights you no longer need. A slow avatar turns that skip into a tour.
B — Mixed or unclear vendors
Some stalls bundle a small quality-of-life with a rate. If you cannot tell whether the button is training or walking, hover, read, and if it still looks cosmetic, treat it as B until you can prove a Strength-per-minute change. Comfort is allowed. Comfort is not a gate.
C — Cosmetic, emote, or “flex” pads
If it does not change push-up rate, walk rate, or chest luck, it is C. Save it for after the local S and A buttons are green. The last cube does not check your trail effect.
F — Skipping the vendor to roll
This is a player error, not an item. Dumping every coin into Arm Materials while a training-speed pad is unbought is F-tier play. Materials help, but they are RNG on top of a slow engine. Buy the engine. The arm materials guide says the same thing from the chest’s side.
Spend order inside a new section
- Confirm you can lift at least one cube here (how to lift)
- Buy training speed if present
- Buy walk speed if you will traverse
- Roll the chest with remainder
- Equip if the roll beats best arms
- Train until the next cube is legal or skippable
Repeat down the map. That is the upgrade tier list as a habit, not only as letters.
