How to Get Arm Materials

Arm materials are the reason two AFK sessions of equal length end with different Strength. The chest turns Cash into a multiplier on push-ups. This guide covers how to get those materials, when to roll, and when to stop feeding the chest so you can still buy upgrades. Rankings live on the arm materials tier list. Loadouts live on best arms.

Where the chest is

The Arm Materials chest sits on the map as a vendor-style roll, not as a hidden drop from cubes. You walk to it, spend Cash, and receive a material. Equip anything strictly better than your current arms. Unequipped rolls are inventory clutter until you replace them. There is no documented crafting tree and no fusion board — do not wander off looking for a combiner from a different cube game.

If you cannot find the chest yet, you are probably still in the first minutes of Getting Started. Finish one legal lift so you have Cash, then scan the section for the roll UI the same way you scan for the movement or training vendor. Later sections keep the same idea: walk farther, find the next chest or the same chest with a higher price table, roll again.

What a material actually does

Official copy: rare arm materials grant insane Strength multipliers. Sportskeeda’s phrasing: materials apply a multiplier on Strength gains so you train more efficiently. In practice that means Strength per push-up goes up. It does not mean you skip the lift gate on a cube you have not earned. A better arm makes the next million Strength arrive sooner. You still have to lift cubes to fund the next roll.

Because there is no rebirth, a good material is permanent value. A bad roll is only a Cash mistake. That is why this wiki tells you to buy the section’s training-speed upgrade first. The upgrade is a guaranteed multiplier. The chest is a dice roll toward a larger one.

When to roll

Roll when all of these are true:

  • Train is already running
  • You can finish at least one cube in this section for refill Cash
  • The local training or movement upgrade is owned, or you truly cannot afford it even after two more lifts
  • You will equip the result if it is better

Do not roll:

  • The moment you get your first coins (buy the vendor)
  • While standing under a cube you cannot lift, hoping RNG deletes the gate
  • In a loop that leaves you broke and unable to lift (you just paused the engine)

Cash refill is always a legal lift. If rolls have dried you out, go back to how to lift cubes and farm the heaviest cube you can finish. Then roll again. That pulse is the mid-game.

Rarity without a leaked table

Freaky Strong! has not published a public Trello of every material name. We will not invent a fake S–F list of made-up alloys. What we can say from the live loop and from community clips:

  • Early rolls exist to replace default arms
  • Later rolls exist to make billion-Strength targets reachable in human time
  • You should always keep the highest multiplier you have seen
  • Duplicate commons are skippable
  • Visual “better arms” on other players are not always the best multiplier — check the number, not the mesh

When names are datamined or posted by the group, they will land on the tier list with a date. Until then, sort by the Strength-per-rep value the game shows you, not by color.

Arms versus scripts versus codes

A chest roll is an official spend. A script that auto-opens chests can dump your Cash into junk. A code might someday grant a free roll — none are live. Do not download an executor because a thumbnail said “free arms.” Walk to the chest.

Buying Robux is optional. Sportskeeda notes you can finish the heaviest cube without premium. If a gamepass ever sells luck, treat it as comfort, not as a requirement for the endgame.

Session plan that uses the chest well

  1. Start Train (how to train)
  2. Lift the best legal cube a handful of times
  3. Buy the section upgrade if it is still locked
  4. Roll until Cash is low or you see a clear upgrade
  5. Equip the winner
  6. Resume Train so the new multiplier actually prints Strength

Step 6 is the one people skip. They roll, admire the mesh, and stand still. The multiplier only works on push-ups you perform after the equip. Leave the loop running. Then walk farther using the walkthrough when the next cube’s gate falls.

If your Strength per rep still looks like the default 1, you either did not equip the drop or you have not rolled anything better than spawn arms. Fix that before you blame the last cube.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for training, cubes, and arm rolls.

How do I get arm materials in Lift a Cube?

Spend Cash at the Arm Materials chest, then equip any roll with a better Strength multiplier than your current arms.

Should I roll before buying upgrades?

No. Buy the section’s training or movement upgrade first. Rolls are RNG; upgrades are guaranteed.

Do arm materials let me skip the Strength gate?

No. They raise Strength per push-up. You still need to meet a cube’s number to lift it.

Is there a full name list of materials?

Not a public official list yet. Sort by the in-game multiplier and watch the arm materials tier list for named rows after datamines.
