Lift a Cube Heavier Cubes Zones
Strength requirements and cube weights by map area.
The Lift a Cube map is divided into zones, each introducing heavier cubes and stricter Strength gates. Walking outward from spawn without enough Strength wastes your movement upgrades. This guide maps every zone, its cube weight range, and the Strength threshold you need to make progress. The zone system creates a natural progression curve that rewards both time investment and strategic decision-making about when to push forward versus when to grind in a previous area.
How zones work
Each zone is a section of the map with a specific cube weight range. The further you walk from spawn, the heavier the cubes become. Movement upgrades let you walk farther; Strength determines whether you can actually lift what you find.
Zones are not locked — you can walk anywhere once you have the movement upgrades. But attempting a zone without sufficient Strength means the cube will not move, wasting your time and any Cash spent on movement upgrades to reach that area.
The zone system is designed so that each new area presents a meaningful difficulty spike. Players who try to rush through zones often find themselves stuck at the first cube of a new area, forced to return to previous zones to grind more Strength. Understanding the zone progression curve helps you plan your upgrades efficiently.
Zone breakdown
Zone 1: Spawn Area
- Cube weights: 0–50 kg
- Strength gate: 0–500
- Best for: Learning the lift minigame, building initial Cash
- Typical time investment: 5–15 minutes
This zone serves as the tutorial area. The cubes here are designed to be lifted by any new player within the first few minutes of gameplay. Use this zone to learn the tap-bar minigame mechanics before progressing.
Zone 2: Green Fields
- Cube weights: 50–500 kg
- Strength gate: 500–5,000
- Best for: First arm upgrades, opening chests
- Typical time investment: 30 minutes–2 hours
The Green Fields introduce the first meaningful difficulty spike. Most players will need to train for 30 minutes to an hour before attempting these cubes. This is also where chest drops become more valuable, as your first arm upgrade becomes possible here.
Zone 3: Rocky Terrain
- Cube weights: 500–5,000 kg
- Strength gate: 5,000–50,000
- Best for: Mid-game progression, bulk Cash
- Typical time investment: 2–8 hours
Rocky Terrain marks the transition from early to mid-game. Cubes here offer significantly better Cash per lift, making this zone profitable for funding arm upgrades. Most players will spend several hours here before advancing.
Zone 4: Industrial Zone
- Cube weights: 5,000–50,000 kg
- Strength gate: 50,000–500,000
- Best for: Advanced players, rare material grinding
- Typical time investment: 8–30 hours
The Industrial Zone is where the game becomes a significant time investment. Players at this stage typically have good arm setups and are grinding specifically for rare materials to boost their multiplier stacks. Chest drops here are noticeably better than earlier zones.
Zone 5: Steel District
- Cube weights: 50,000–500,000 kg
- Strength gate: 500,000–5,000,000
- Best for: Endgame preparation
- Typical time investment: 30–100 hours
The Steel District is the gateway to true endgame content. Players here have typically optimized their arm and material setups and are working toward the later zones. The time investment per Strength point increases dramatically at this stage.
Zone 6: Diamond Plateau
- Cube weights: 500,000–5,000,000 kg
- Strength gate: 5,000,000–50,000,000
- Best for: Late-game Cash farming
- Typical time investment: 100–300 hours
Diamond Plateau represents the late-game grind. At this stage, most players have substantial multiplier stacks and are working toward the final zones. Progress here is measured in millions of Strength per hour rather than thousands.
Zone 7: Obsidian Summit
- Cube weights: 5,000,000–50,000,000 kg
- Strength gate: 50,000,000–500,000,000
- Best for: Pre-endgame push
- Typical time investment: 300–800 hours
Obsidian Summit is where the most dedicated players spend their time. The cubes here are measured in tens of millions of kilograms, requiring hundreds of millions of Strength to lift. Only players with optimized builds and significant time investment reach this zone.
Zone 8: The Final Block
- Cube weights: 50,000,000+ kg (up to 1.3B documented)
- Strength gate: 500,000,000+
- Best for: Reaching the final challenge
- Typical time investment: 800+ hours
The Final Block is the ultimate challenge in Lift a Cube. Community documentation shows weights reaching approximately 1.3 billion kilograms, requiring roughly 1.3 billion Strength to lift. This zone represents hundreds to thousands of hours of dedicated grinding.
Movement upgrades
To access new zones you need movement upgrades. These are purchased from map vendors and increase how far you can walk from spawn.
| Upgrade | Zones unlocked | Cost range |
|---|---|---|
| Basic legs | Zone 1–2 | Free / starter |
| Enhanced mobility | Zone 1–3 | 1,000–5,000 Cash |
| Advanced walk | Zone 1–4 | 10,000–50,000 Cash |
| Elite movement | Zone 1–5 | 100,000–500,000 Cash |
| Master stride | Zone 1–6 | 1M–5M Cash |
| Legend walk | Zone 1–7 | 10M–50M Cash |
| Infinite reach | All zones | 100M+ Cash |
Zone strategy
The skip window technique Sometimes you have enough Strength to skip a zone entirely. If you can lift a Zone 4 cube but are still in Zone 3, walk to Zone 4 and bank more Cash per lift. The higher weight-to-effort ratio makes this worthwhile. This technique can save significant time in the long run.
Staying too long Once you can lift the next zone’s cubes, move on. Zone-specific grinding is only optimal if you are specifically farming for rare chest drops that appear more frequently in certain areas, or if you need the Cash flow to fund a specific upgrade.
Balancing Strength and Cash The fundamental tension in zone progression is between spending time in lower zones where you earn less per lift but can lift reliably, versus pushing to higher zones where you earn more per lift but risk failing. The optimal strategy depends on your current upgrade priorities and multiplier stack.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for training, cubes, and arm rolls.
How do I unlock new zones?
Purchase movement upgrades from map vendors. Each upgrade lets you walk farther from spawn into zones with heavier cubes.
When should I skip a zone?
If you can lift the next zone's cubes, move on. Higher-weight cubes give more Cash per lift, making progression faster.
What is the final cube weight?
Community documentation shows the final block at approximately 1.3 billion kilograms, requiring roughly 1.3 billion Strength to lift.
